In the age of the Internet access to any information in the world lies at one’s fingertips. A new identity can even be constructed with the turn of the head. This proposes new distractions where someone’s virtual life is often prioritized. Heads are down with a hazy idea of reality. A burden like this cannot be avoided, yet could only be exploited to understand the ever-evolving social landscape.
The cellphone has become an extension of oneself, perceived as a garment of clothes. With the devices camera cloaked, it can see up close into a space that feels private to the subject although only virtually bound. This tool lets me study individuals migrating through life and connecting through new means of human interaction.
